 Most Dell Laptop have a print screen key that makes taking screenshots really easy. This key takes a photo of your full screen or application window, then puts the image on your system clipboard.

From your clipboard, you can save it to your Laptop or paste it into another application. If you need to capture your full screen, print and print the Windows key button at the same time.

Method 3 of 3: Using snipping tools

 

1. Open the Start menu.

  • To do this, either press the Win key or click the Windows logo in the lower-left corner of the screen.
  • Snipping tools are not available for Windows XP.

5. Click a size. This will be applied to your screenshot template.

6. Change boundaries.

  • By default, all snippets will have a red border around them. You can change this by clicking the Options button. This will open a new window, allowing you to disable borders or change colors.

 

7. Click New. This is the left side of the snipping tool bar. Your screen will fade and your mouse cursor will become crosshairs.

8. Click and drag your mouse across the screen. As you do this, a rectangle will appear and encircle your selected area.

  • If you choose Full-Screen SnipClick will take a new screenshot.

 

9. Release the mouse button. This will take a screenshot of anything within the rectangular area.

10. Click File. This is in the top-left corner of the screenshot page.

11. Click Save. This option is near the middle of the drop-down field.

12. Type a name, then click Save. Doing so will save your screenshot to your computer's default visual media storage location, which is usually the image folder.

You can change the save location by clicking on a folder on the left sidebar.
